Absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in New Zealand! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside — so fresh that you can really taste the ocean. The chips were golden, crunchy, and not greasy at all. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the place had that cozy, seaside vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and everything came out hot and fresh. Highly recommend this spot if you’re anywhere nearby — it’s definitely worth the trip! I’ll be back for sure.

Went here yesterday for lunch, was welcomed with a lovely smile help with choosing what to order as i couldn't decide...... Played a game of pool while waiting for our order which was fun.meanwhile my son admired they awesome fish and relaxed on the seat to eat his ice block. Food was quick didn't have to wait long got to the beach with our order and he had given us some extra potato slices to try for free they are so tasty and the best we've had in southland! Also ordered one mussel and received 2 extra for free! The chips were cooked perfectly along with the cod. yum !!!!! The spring roll was massive its like the size of 2 it was fresh and tasty however it was a bit sweet for me but hubby ate it and enjoyed it, everyone has different taste preferences so others may like the sweet taste . was a lovely takeaway lunch and you can taste the difference in them using clean fresh oil compared to other takeaway shops will definitely return when we go that way thank you for your hospitality and kindness

Classic fish and chip shop. Great family vibe. We arrived pretty much at closing (around 8.30) but they still took our orders, very generous. This did mean however there was limited options. Had to have crumbed fish instead of batter, true hardship. Regardless an easy 5 star as everything was very yummy. Thank you Taramea Bay Store!

Their chips are fantastic! Well seasoned, crispy, hot and not oily. We only have limited options as we arrived around 8pm. We got the chicken and fish burger, and we find them extraordinary. The portions are generous. It was a satisfying takeaway after a tiring day of long drive. An absolute takeaway gem in Riverton!

We drove there yesterday from Invercargill and absolutely loved the food there! Blue cod was so fresh and very yummy home made spring roll! Friendly staff/ owner and lovely kids! Will come back gain next time!谢谢老板生意兴隆
